What does your body sound like? During Improvising You, Rotterdam-based artist Rafaele Andrade invites audiences to create music together using biological feedback sensors. Using her custom-built 3D-printed instrument, she transforms participants’ biometric data into sound, making every visitor an active part of this unique interactive performance.
Later in the evening, the Rotterdam Live Coders collective takes over at MONO, Rotterdam’s creative hub for music, art and nightlife. Together, they explore creative coding, experimental technologies and live improvisation before culminating in a live-coded jam session in which the coders integrate the bio-sensors into their own musical sets, blurring the boundaries between technology, music and performance.
